Scholarships
TASC raises money for the Gail Minglana Martinez Scholarship Fund and the Dawn Williams Scholarship throughout the entire year, with multiple Scholarship applications accepted and awarded each spring.
Gail Martinez Scholarship
Gail served on the board of the Andersen Officers Spouses' Club (AOSC) from 2013 to 2015. Gail tragically lost her life during a terrorist attack at Brussels Airport in Belgium in 2016. TASC has donated over $35,000 in Gail's name.
Scholarship applications are accepted and awarded annually in the spring.
Who may apply: High school seniors who are dependents of an active duty service member stationed here on Guam and are pursuing a college degree.
Dawn Williams Scholarship
From 1990 to 2023, Dawn was an active member of several Andersen Spouses' Clubs, including the Enlisted Wives groups, the Enlisted Spouses' Club, the Andersen Officers Spouses' Club, and the Team Andersen Spouses' Club. She significantly contributed to the merger of the Enlisted and Officer Spouses' Clubs to form the Team Anders Spouses' Club and also served as the club's only historical mentor. Dawn passed away in 2023.
Scholarship applications are accepted and awarded annually in the spring.
Who may apply: Spouses and dependents of active-duty military service members stationed on Guam who are pursuing a college degree.
It is an honor and a privledge to help keep the memory of both Gail and Dawn alive through the recognition of the hard work and achievements of the students within our military community by providing scholorships in their names.
